Calsense offers the most flexibility by mixing and matching communication options such as Phone, Ethernet, UHF Radio, Spread Spectrum Radio and more.
Phone Modem
The Calsense-R phone modem communication option provides a cost effective and reliable solution for users who operate and gather data from field controllers using a personal computer running the Calsense Command CENTER Water Management software.
GPRS
The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is one of many advanced technology methods provided by Calsense communication between field controllers and the central computer.
Spread Spectrum
The Spread Spectrum Radio communication option is designed to facilitate communication between ET2000 and ET2000e controllers by replacing the hardwire communication path with a reliable Spread Spectrum Radio network. Spread Spectrum Radio communications may also be used to build a small citywide central communications network.
Ethernet
The Ethernet communication option is one of many methods provided by Calsense for field controllers to communicate with a central computer. The Ethernet option, when used with the Calsense ET2000 or ET2000e irrigation controller, provides reliable communication with a central computer operating the Command CENTER Water Management Software using the customer’s existing Ethernet network.
WEN
The Wireless Ethernet (WiFi) communication option provides a high-tech solution to communicate with controllers in the field via a central computer. This option can be used in conjunction with an existing 802.11b/g wireless network and provides reliable, wireless communication with a central computer operating the Command CENTER Water Management Software.
Local Radio
Local Radio communication is one of many options provided by Calsense for field controller to central computer communication. The Local Radio, when used with the Calsense ET2000 or ET2000e Irrigation Controllers, provides long-range reliable communication with a central computer operating the Command CENTER Water Management Software.
Fiber Optic Modem
The Calsense Fiber Optic Modem provides a highly reliable solution when a user has fiber cable available as a communication medium. The environmentally hardened device is uniquely qualified for control of highway landscape irrigation systems.
HUBS
Calsense HUBs act as “repeaters” to surrounding irrigation controllers, extending the range of the central computer communication link by extending the range of the Calsense Water Management System. The Calsense HUB is easily wall mounted or may be factory installed inside an SSE enclosure.
