The device ships from Calsense DHCP-ready, so there’s often nothing required to start communicating. Simply connect it to an existing network using a category 5 (CAT-5) or better Ethernet cable and it automatically connects to Calsense server. If you prefer to assign an IP address statically, the device can be programmed directly at the controller using the controller’s keypad. Remote configuration over a network is also possible using a web browser.

The Ethernet port on the Calsense Ethernet communication option is autosensing, allowing it to automatically detect the type of Ethernet network it’s connected to and then communicate at the highest speed possible. If the connection is lost, the device attempts to reconnect to the network automatically.
