Spring is here! March Recap
April 11, 2023
Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month. At Calsense, we want to recognize and celebrate women in irrigation. While they only represent 10% of our industry’s workforce, they provide tremendous value in driving our important work forward. We are committed to continuing to build a diverse workforce as our growth continues. A special thank you to the amazing women within our organization, whose remarkable contributions are not only shaping the future of our company, but also our industry! “Do the heavy rains and snowfall we have experienced this winter mean we can start feeling relaxed about the way we use water in 2023? Well, no, unfortunately. We had a lot of rain, but it was, in an important way, the wrong kind of rain.” – A.J. van de Ven – The Coast News. Read the Living Green column
CBAD Awards Finalists
We are excited to announce that we are finalists in the Business of the Year (small business) category for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 CBAD Awards. The winners will be announced at the CBAD Awards Luncheon on April 24.
The League of California Cities gave us an opportunity to connect with our customers at the 2023 Public Works Institute in Universal City. Many thanks to Joe Perez, Jeff Drongowski and Steve Sierra for attending this important event.
Technical Sales Representative in Texas, David Garrison, presented at the Texas Recreation and Parks Society Institute and Expo held in Frisco, TX. Our team enjoyed sharing valuable information about the benefits of central irrigation control.
We recently joined the Texas Municipal League Associate Members and participated in the TML Midyear Conference in San Antonio. We were able to learn more about the water issues in multiple cities across the state.
CLCA NorCal Show
Organized by the California Landscape Contractors Association, the NorCal Landscape and Nursery Show, which took place in San Mateo, CA, allowed us to stay in touch with industry piers and customers.
