Calsense’s Kyler Neumann Honored with ALCC Emerging Leader Award

November 20, 2024

CARLSBAD, CA — November 18, 2024 — Calsense is proud to announce that Kyler Neumann, one of our talented team members, has been recognized with the prestigious Emerging Leader Award by the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC) during their ELITE Awards ceremony. This honor celebrates Kyler’s lifelong dedication to irrigation, water conservation, and his exceptional contributions to the landscaping industry.

Kyler’s passion for landscapes and water efficiency began at an early age, starting with a lawn care business he built from the ground up at just eight years old after buying his first mower at six. He honed his skills at Warren Technical College, where he not only excelled academically but also contributed as a valuable team member on campus projects. At Warren Technical College, he progressed from student to intern and was eventually hired as a technical specialist, a role he cherished for its focus on mentoring students to achieve their goals. At Aurora Public Schools, he led a team of seven irrigation technicians while managing 820 acres of landscape, demonstrating both technical expertise and a collaborative leadership style.

Kyler’s involvement with the ALCC spans over 15 years, during which he has participated in various programs and most recently taught the irrigation bootcamp, inspiring a new generation of professionals to embrace innovation and water efficiency.

At Calsense, Kyler serves as a Field Service Representative, supporting over 100 customers across three states, including Colorado. His deep knowledge of soil and water needs, irrigation design, and troubleshooting has been instrumental in helping our customers conserve water and achieve their sustainability goals. Kyler’s hands-on approach and dedication exemplify Calsense’s mission to create sophisticated smart irrigation solutions built on a foundation of technology, education, and partnership, while fostering a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Kyler reflected on the recognition, stating, “I’m truly honored to receive this award and grateful to the ALCC for recognizing my passion for water conservation and education. At Calsense, I’m fortunate to work alongside a team that shares my commitment to sustainability and innovation. This award inspires me to continue mentoring others and finding new ways to make a positive impact on our industry and our environment.”

“We are proud to have Kyler as part of the Calsense team,” said A.J. van de Ven, CEO of Calsense. “His expertise, passion, and leadership make him an invaluable asset to our company and a driving force in the industry. This well-deserved recognition by the ALCC highlights not only Kyler’s remarkable journey but also the values we uphold at Calsense.”

When not advancing water conservation, Kyler embraces Colorado’s stunning landscapes on his dirt bike, a passion that fuels his commitment to preserving the environment he loves to explore. His dedication to the community and the environment continues to inspire both his colleagues and customers.

Calsense congratulates Kyler Neumann on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to seeing his continued impact on the industry.
