Q: What’s the difference between BABA, Buy American, and “Made in USA”?
- BABA (Build America, Buy America) applies to federally funded infrastructure and sets domestic preference rules for manufactured products, iron/steel, and construction materials.
- Buy American Act (BAA) is a separate federal rule with different thresholds. Some CS3000 configurations may qualify—ask us.
- “Made in USA” and state origin claims (like California §17533.7) are marketing standards, not procurement rules. Our qualified claims vary by jurisdiction and are distinct from BABA/BAA compliance.
